Stacking the Shelves [1]

Saturday, April 5, 2014

So here is our first week to participate in Tynga's Stacking the Shelves meme, and we are super excited! So without further ado, we are going to share our recent purchases and books gifted to us from this past month!

Amanda has bought/received these awesome books:

The Assassin's Blade by Sarah J. Maas.
*AMAZING Book! You can check out my review here.

The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton
*Jamie loved this book! Check out her review which goes up on the 9th

The Mist in the Mirror by Susan Hill

Deviation by Christine Manzari
*The author gave me this book in exchange for a review, which will be up in the coming weeks.

The Glass Casket by McCormick Templeman

A Mad, Wicked Folly by Sharon Biggs Waller

*Sadly, I have yet to read either of these, but both of them look fantastic!

Insurgent by Veronica Roth

Allegiant by Veronica Roth

The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski

*All three of theses books came from Addison a few days ago, and I can't wait to finish the rest of the Divergent series and begin The Winner's Curse, which Addison raved about!

  1. I've heard good things about The Winner's Curse. I picked up another book by the same author recently; I'm hoping it's the author that's good, and not just one particular book!

I've yet to read any of the books in the Divergent series. I already know the ending (I got spoilered when the third book came out and everyone was talking about it), so I'm not sure if I want to start the series. Maybe I'll just watch the movie...

I do a similar meme on Sundays called "In My Mailbox". It's pretty much the same thing as "Stacking the Shelves". You can check out my bookish acquisitions here.

    1. Addison really loved Winner's Curse, and I feel like she's kind of a hard one to win over. I had heard so many mixed reviews about Divergent, but I knew that I had to read it before I saw the movie (which I did), and I honestly loved the first one -mostly though because i really identified strongly with Tris. I think it's worth reading even if you did hear spoilers. :)
