So I haven't been blogging for all that long. There's a lot of things you guys don't know about me, so I figured I would answer some fun questions that aren't just surface level. I got some of these questions from this blog and this website, so these questions do not belong to me exactly; I'm just using them.
1. What books on your shelf are begging to be read?
Of course, we have to start with a bookish type question. I'd have to say The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski, Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell, and A Mad, Wicked Folly by Sharon Biggs Waller. I've been putting these books off for at least 6+ months.
2. How old would you be if you didn't know your age?
As much as growing up kind of freaks me out now, I think I would be about 28. Right now, I'm 24, so that's kind of weird for me to say. But I feel sometimes, like I'm much older than I am, like I've lived a lot in the past two or three years.
3. What was the strangest thing you believed as a child?
There was a time when I was three or four years old, that I absolutely swore up and down that the sing-along Barney I had was demonically possessed. It scared the crap out of me. I was freaking three years old, and to this day, I cannot even stand looking at Barneys. They freak me out.
4. How often do you doodle? What do your doodles look like?
I actually doodle quite often. I doodle while in class or listening to lectures or even audiobooks. I feel like it sparks my creativity. My doodles mostly consist of eyes. I don't know why. It can be a bit creepy, but for the most part, I know how to draw them really well, and I like drawing various cartoon characters with awesome hair.
5. What was the most recent compliment you received and savored?
I'm getting my MA in Creative Writing, and my good friend has a class with a couple of my classmates that are in my writing class. When they heard my name, they said, "Ooohhhh... she's one of the best writers in the class." It made me feel so good about myself! I don't even know these people really well since it's an online class, but I still relished the compliment.
6. If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich?
I would say something artistic. I love writing, reading, and creating art. Any creative work would make me super rich because I would be constantly in love with what I do.
7. What's your all time favorite city? Why?
Oxford, England. If I could live there, I totally would! It's beautiful and quaint and full of history! I so thoroughly enjoyed my time there when I lived in London for the summer. I want to go back so badly.
8. What's something you know you do differently than most people?
I'm a very driven and organized person. Most creative people aren't like that. But on the other hand, I'm a late sleeper and stay up till at least three in the morning. I'm a really odd creative person I guess.
9. If you could change your first name, what would it be?
I have a deep love for original or really old names (like, I'm talking medieval or old British names), but I think I would be a Willow or Alinnora or Aelwyn. I don't know... something like that.
10. When do you find yourself singing?
I have found over the past year that when I sing, it is directly correlated to my state of emotions. If I'm happy, you will find that I will be singing constantly and I won't care who hears it. But if I'm sad or depressed, you won't hear me sing at all. I love music. It's always been a passion of mine. I used to be in band when I was in high school, and now I'm just a great appreciator of music.
