Top Ten Books I Want for Christmas

Tuesday, December 23, 2014

As always, Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely ladies at The Broke and the Bookish

Death Sworn by Leah Cypess
I've heard so many good things about this book, and I still have yet to read it! I must have it!

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
Technically, my parents would be able to buy this for me, but maybe some sweet book blogger friend would let me borrow their ARC??! Pretty please with sugar on top?

These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner
Once again, I've heard so many good things about this one and it has been in my TBR pile for forever!

Seraphina by Rachel Hartman
I hear every fantasy love is astounded with this book. Shadow Scale just came out and it's just another reason to ask for it for Christmas.

The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson
I got this as an eARC, and loved every bit of it! I really want it in harback. I mean look at that cover! Isn't it just gorgeous!

Of Metal and Wishes by Sarah Fine
I heard that this was a sort of retelling of The Phantom of the Opera. I really REALLY want to read this one.

The Retribution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
I have needed to read this book since it came out but since the very first book, which is in paperback, I didn't want to buy this book because it would be so different from myself. But if I got it as a gift, I wouldn't complain.

Traitor's Blade by Sebastien De Castell
I have heard nothing about this author, but I have had my eye on this book for a while. I'm in the need of a good, big fantasy book. And I think this is it.

The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski
I absolutely adored this book. I have it on audiobook, and I need to have a beautiful hardback.

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
I actually already have this book in paperback, but ever since they put out the new Throne of Glass hardbacks, I need to get it so that I can have a complete hardcover set. It's just too beautiful not to complete!

What books are on your Christmas list?

  1. The map inside The Kiss of Deception is really gorgeous too! You NEED to get it in hardback! I also need the ToG hardback to have a current complete set. So glad they decided to redo the hardbacks :D

  2. Death Sworn is on BookOutlet now, and I’m getting a copy with some Christmas money :D So excited!

HA! I said the same thing about ACOTAR - it just needs to happen somehow. I’ll probably end up begging one off a friend and pay for shipping both ways :P

I really hope you can find a hardback of ToG; mine is so pretty with the rest of the set. It took me a few times ordering to get the right one - they kept sending me the old cover since they share an ISBN apparently O_O

    1. Yeah also, speaking of Book Outlet, they have a sale going on the 26th where everything is 30% off but if you announce that they are having a sale on social media, you can get 50% off!! WOOHOOO!!! I plan on getting a lot of book during that sale! I know! I need ACOTAR somethin fierce! Like I've already read the eSampler... TWICE!!!

Hmm nice to know about ToG. I just really need that hardback in my life.

  3. I haven't heard of many of these books, but I know that Seraphina is amazing!. I love that book. The writing is brilliant and the world and the characters- Ah! It is all just beautiful. It needs a reread.

I have heard that Sarah J. Maas is an awesome writer though. I really want to read her books one day. I'm hoping to stumble across them in the library sometime, otherwise I might have to buy the first of the Throne of Glass series.
