2015 Challenges GALORE!

One of my more unspoken resolutions for this next year is that I want to participate in more challenges. This past year I did Katie's Book Blog Summer Reading Challenge, The Debut Author Challenge, and the Goodreads Challenge, but this year, I want to add a few more annual challenges to the mix. So without further ado, let me tell you about all the awesome challenges I will be partaking in.

In 2014, I read 71 out of my 70 book goal. I was very proud of my accomplishment, especially considering that there were probably 12-15 books that I didn't log. This year is going to be ├╝ber busy with school, and because I worked REALLY hard to reach this year's goal, I think I'm just going to stick to 50 books in 2015. If I get more, that will be an added bonus.

I participated in this challenge last year, and found some really great reads because of it. Honestly, I always tell new bloggers that this is a great challenge to get in on if you are new to the blogging world or a different genre.
In 2015, I plan on reading at least 12 debut novels.

This is a new challenge for me. One of my new year blogger resolutions is to make more quality posts, and I think that this would be a good way of keeping me accountable in this area.
I'm going to work on getting somewhere between 25-36 posts (the Chatty Kathy level).

This is also a newer challenge for me, but I have sooo many audiobooks that I need to listen to and I got an audible account this past fall and I really want to keep it up. So I'm hoping this will be a fun challenge to participate in.
I want to finish between 10-15 audiobooks (the Stenographer level)

If you are in need of some really awesome annual reading challenges, I would highly encourage you to check out these that I've listed!

  1. I would've liked to try the Debut Author Challenge this year, but I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to find enough books to get through it. I'm doing the Goodreads Challenge, though, as well as the Fairytale Retelling Challenge and the TBR Pile Reading Challenge. I'm kind of looking forward to reading more fairytale retellings; I like them when they're done well!

    1. Oooo a fairytale retelling challenge sounds fun! I may have to look at that. The Debut Author only requires 12 books. One for every month. Most of my eARCs are debuts, so it works out well for me. Hopefully you will be able to do it.

  2. I'm also doing the Goodreads Challenge which I tried to accomplish last year but failed horribly. But since I just started my blog, I'm feeling really excited about reading and hopefully I will be able to read 50 books like I plan to. Good luck with all your challenges!

    1. I very nearly failed. At first I did fifty and then I was doing really well during the summer then nearly failed come the end. I finished two books on December 31st, making it one book over my goal. I was really cutting it close. I'm going to be really busy come this next year, so I figured I would make it just a little bit more realistic. Good luck on your challenges!

    1. Oooh a Mythology Challenge? THAT SOUNDS AWESOME! Where is it? I probably won't participate, but that's such a unique challenge and I love the idea of it! Good luck on your challenges!!!

  4. Good luck on all of your challenges!! I have a love/hate relationship with the goodreads challenge. I love how it inspires me to read more, but sometimes it makes me feel stressed too. :/

    1. Yeah me too. Sometimes GR challenges just make you stressed. I know I was sweating a bit on December 31st when I had to finish up a book in order to meet my goal. That's one reason why I put mine down to fifty that still gives me enough reviews to post in a year (roughly 2 a week which is generally what I schedule). Hopefully your challenges go well for you this year and don't stress you out too much!

  5. Yay, good luck! I am so glad you're joining the discussion challenge :) And good luck on your other challenges too! I think I need to join another one, I am just not sure which yet. I have never read an audio book actually, but that sounds fun too! Hope you achieve all your goals :)

    1. ME TOO!!! When I saw your post about it, I was all over it! I knew that was what I wanted to do! I decided this year, I really wanted to focus on really good discussion post content, and I'm so happy that you are helping host the challenge! It's going to be great!!

I actually just got into audiobooks. I wasn't into them before this year. But I live in Oklahoma and my parents live in Texas, so I have a good 4 hour drive every now and then when I go back home to visit, and audiobooks really help the time pass. I can generally finish one book on a roundtrip, which is really nice! :)

Good luck with the rest of your challenges too! I'm so excited about following your blog this next year! :)

    1. Thanks for letting me know. My previous co-blogger, Addison, was the one who participated in that challenge last year, but I'm a bit busy with all of my other challenges this year. Thanks for dropping by and letting me know though! Good luck with all of your challenges this year!
