My Top Ten Most Anticipated Debuts of 2015

Tuesday, January 6, 2015

1. Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
Release Date: February 10th
I've heard so many great things about this book. I actually have an eARC, and it's on my list to read!

2. The Sin Eater's Daughter by Melinda Salisbury
Release Date: February 24th
Okay so this cover is beautiful and this book looks even more awesome! I mean come on! AWESOME!

3. When My Heart Was Wicked by Tricia Stirling
Release Date: February 24th
We see so many villain origin stories, but what about the stories where the villains turn into good people? I think this one will be a very interesting read!

4. A Wicked Thing by Rhiannon Thomas
Release Date: February 24th
I've been on a Sleeping Beauty kick lately, and I immediately picked this up as an eARC. I'm really eager to read it! Yay for retellings!

5. I Am Her Revenge by Meredith Moore
Release Date: April 7th
This looks interesting. I'm always in for a revenge story. And one where she's actually taking revenge on behalf of her mother makes it more interesting to me. Mix in intrigue and danger, and I'm all ears!

6. An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
Release Date: April 28th
I have had my eye on this book ever since I saw that gorgeous cover!!!! It looks beautiful and the story sounds fantastic! MUST HAVE! *grabby fingers*

7. The Girl at Midnight by Melissa Grey
Release Date: April 28th
I'm more or less just intrigued by this one. I've read my fair share of urban fantasies and they aren't really my thing, but I think that this one might be good to check out.

8. The Witch Hunter by Virginia Boecker
Release Date: June 2nd
I WANT THIS BOOK NOW! LIKE NOW NOW! Why is it six months away? I just really need this book in my life!

9. The Scared Lies of Minnow Bly by Stephanie Oakes
Release Date: June 9th
This looks like a super difficult read because it seems like it would deal with some really tough stuff, but I think it will be a really interesting read.

10. The Creeping by Alexandra Sirowy
Release Date: August 18th
This one looks creepy, and I kinda like it. I saw that Jessica from Such a Novel Idea really seemed to enjoy it, so I figured that I should add it to my ever-growing TBR pile.

What debuts are you looking forward to in 2015?

  1. I've seen three other lists besides mine today and The Witch Hunter has been on all of them. It didn't make my list but I want to read it too.

  2. The Creeping seems to be a popular one but I've never heard of it! Need to look into that. I'm really excited for A Wicked Thing and The Girl at Midnight :D

  3. The Sin Eater's Daughter, An Ember in the Ashes, and The Sacred Lies of Minnow Bly are all on my list, too. And I had to add A Wicked Thing to my want-to-read list because I'm doing the Fairytale Retelling Challenge.

Lots of good books coming out in 2015!

    1. A Wicked Thing is pretty good. Not stellar, but it's an average retelling!

  4. The Sin Eater’s Daughter! YES! So excited for that one :D And of course An Ember in the Ashes. When My Heart Was Wicked actually sounds kind of interesting; I’ll have to keep an eye out for some more reviews!

  5. 1. I'm one of the weird people who didn't enjoy Red Queen. :( But I would totally love a physical copy since it's a GORGEOUS book.
    2. Oh yes, I want! *grabby hands*
    4. I thought this one was a so-so read. I did like Aurora's practical and realistic reactions to things.
    6. YEEES. It sounds loosely like Legend, which I adore, so I can't wait for this to come out!
    8. Go witches! And witch hunters!
    10. I don't read as much horror as I'd like, so this is definitely going on my wishlist!

    1. RIGHT? Read Queen would looks so pretty on a shelf, and I think that alone is why I love it already lol!
I'm currently reading A Wicked Thing, and I'm totally with you on that one. It's just average sadly... It's better than other retellings I've had the misfortune of reading, but still just average...

Thanks for following and jumping in on the discussion! I look forward to following your blog as well! :)
