  3. I adore the Anna companion series by Stephanie Perkins. And The DUFF is one of my favorite contemporaries. It's very honest, that's for sure. And I really liked Fangirl too! I still have to read Eleanor & Park though. I don't know why I haven't picked it up yet...

    Great list!

  4. I didn't like Anna and I had to DNF Isla.. so in my opinion you aren't missing out on those, but almost everybody I know LOVE the series. I did like Fangirl a lot.

    1. Really? You're probably the first person I've heard say that... I'll definitely go in with an open mind. Generally when I read a contemporary, I try to go in with an open mind because I generally don't enjoy contemporaries as much as I enjoy fantasies.

  7. I've only missed 3 on your list! YAY! For someone who's not the world's biggest contemporary fan, I'm not doing horribly. ;-) haha Although I feel like Gone Girl is thriller rather than contemporary (I didn't read it but I saw the movie...*gasp* I KNOW. Bookworm taboo!!) I really really love Fangirl. It is the perfect description of an introvert. x)

    1. Yeah, that's true Gone Girl is more of a thriller. No, I ended up watching the movie too... and now I don't know if I could stomach the book. Books always seem stronger to me than films.
