I got to meet Stephanie Perkins + GIVEAWAY

Friday, April 3, 2015

A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to meet Stephanie Perkins at my local library in Oklahoma. I have only read Lola, and I'm working on the rest of her books, but I was still beyond excited to meet her in person and get her to sign all of my books.

I went to the signing with my friend Addison, who loves Stephanie Perkins's books to death, and it was just all around fun! The Metropolitan Library gave out free copies of Lola....after that, we were just over the moon with excitement!

This was one of the smallest signings I've ever been to, and for it to be so small for Stephanie Perkins of all people is crazy to me! But I LOVED it! There was probably about 30-40 max, and because it was such a small group, there was this intimacy of sorts.

Stephanie was fabulous and it was pretty much just a long Q&A session, but she touched on the reason why there were so many years between the release of Lola and Isla. She talked about her struggle with depression, and for some reason, her being so raw and honest with her readers made this entire group just really take a step back and realize that even awesome people like Stephanie struggle with real life stuff like depression.

Her honesty made me like her even more. She was an absolute gem. She was so kind and personable. She gave FANTASTIC writing advice, because about half of the room were aspiring writers.

I got all three of my books signed plus the freebie provided by the Metropolitan Library.

And that's what I want to offer your guys!
The picture at the very top with the new Lola cover is up for grabs, and you have the opportunity to win it! It's SIGNED, so I know you guys want a chance to win it!

I'm offering it as a  US only giveaway. Sorry I'm a poor grad school student.

Make sure to check out my Giveaway and Privacy Policies before
filling out the Rafflecopter.

Please don't cheat. I check the entries before awarding them to people, so please be honest!

  2. Well I would have went if I lived in Oklahoma ! I'm so jealous. If she does a signing that small maybe she'll visit my small town one day. I hope so. Thank you SO much for sharing the Stephanie love. I'll happily accept it off your hands.

    1. Yeah she did a few in the metro area, so it was three library visits in the OKC area, but it was amazing! Good luck on the giveaway!
